Gaps Analysis of Hunting legislation in Georgia

First step was to collect and carefully read all of the laws where articles on hunting could be found. Afterwards, several of the team members met and summed up gathered information and realized of missing quantitative data and statistics of the illegal killing facts. The laws, which we found on National Legislative database did not cover the updates from recent years and included outdated information, thus team members send out requests for the updates to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

Legislative gaps on hunting because of overlapping competences and confusion of legislation along with practical gaps because it appears that, in many areas, there is clearly the risk of insufficient control and no proper implementation.

After receiving all the requests back, the data was analyzed and legislative gaps identified  after reviewing existing legislation and enforcement activities.
