Training of 50 local kids in nature conservation and bird identification

Ecohub members of Ajara  members made educational games teaching them about the importance of wildlife and its protection. The games were held near the Sakhalvasho observation platform for raptor counting, region Adjara.

The teachers and even one or two parents were involved in the process, during which children came up with lots of questions followed by discussion and explanations. Followed by short theoretical section about flyways, migration, Batumi Bottleneck, they had luck to observe a huge group of raptor migration flew over the village. Eco hub members had binoculars and telescope with them borrowed from SABUKO in order to teach and show children how to use and them and showed how to identify birds by using these equipment. Time spent providing kids with engaging environmental experiences is always lasting impact such as welfare of the community to which they belong.
